Tipperary manager Liam Cahill was in upbeat mood despite his sides loss to Limerick in the National Hurling League.
Their 4 point defeat at the Gaelic Grounds was their first setback of the campaign – it ended 30 points to 1-23 at the Gaelic Grounds.
Speaking to Tipp FM afterwards Cahill said there were a lot of positives to take from the game.
“Disappointed obviously not to win the match but in general I suppose a good performance to build on – you know we’re all trying to put these building blocks in place to get a really good competitive squad ready for Championship.
“Today was a brilliant day for a lot of our youngers members especially I suppose Robert Doyle, Darragh McCarthy and Darragh Stakelum I suppose who I know was with me last year but hadn’t much exposure to the ferocity that was today – it was a big step up in class and really delighted with the way those players in particular performed.”
