There is a lot more to Loughmore/Castleiney than just heart and determination.
That’s according to their manager Shane Hennessy after the Mid Tipp side were crowned county senior football champions on Sunday.
Loughmore completed a third ever senior hurling and football double with a 0-11 to 0-07 win over Clonmel Commercials.
Speaking after the game in FBD Semple Stadium,, Loughmore manager Shane Hennessy says there’s massive skill levels and game intelligence in his squad.
“Everyone is saying that Loughmore are full of heart and they are determined and they want to fight but there is 20-something or 30-somthing lads that could’ve been playing here today, the skill level within this group is phenomenal.
“There is just a high level of playing intelligence within the team and the squad and it’s what gets us over the line.
“It’s not just heart and determination, there is an understanding of how to play the game and what needs to be done in certain circumstances that’s within the group.
“It’s an honour to be part of this group and I’m so delighted to say I’m from Loughmore/Castleiney.”
