Philly Ryan’s side travelled to Walsh Park yesterday to face Waterford and came away with a 1-14 to 9 point victory.
Sean O’Connor with 1-10 on the day.
Philly Ryan told Tipp FM Sport that it was very much a team effort – but they will be looking to improve ahead of the visit of London next weekend.
“We can thank our backs – our defensive shape was excellent. Up front we left a few scores behind us and that’s just being probably a little bit critical but you always look to improve and we’ll look to improve between now and next week as well.
“Jimmy at the back, Jack, Manus they all had a job to do. They were excellent – from 1 to 36, 37 in this panel everybody is working. Every night they’re working very hard so don’t think the lads will take any individual credit for this win today. I think they’ll push it all back on everybody else.”
This makes it two wins and a draw and leaves Tipp on 5 points and second in the Division 4 table – 1 behind Wexford.
