Clonmel’s Philly Ryan is in his first season in charge of the Premier and has announced his squad for the 2025 campaign.
The panel includes a host of new faces but does not include experienced players such as the now retired Conor Sweeney along with other regulars such as Shane O’Connell, Evan Comerford and Colm O’Shaughnessy.
Speaking on this week’s Extra-Time, Philly Ryan is hoping the injection of youth will pay off in the long run.
“Yeah there is a lot of experience lost, it would have been nice if some of the players stayed on, even if they had a year just to blend in with some of the younger lads but they have a decision to make as well and they have a lot on their plate and a lot of miles on the clock so you have to respect their decision.
“It’s a lot of experience to lose but we’ll push on with it.
“It’s a new dawn hopefully and we mightn’t see the fruition of the work immediately but it’ll pay off in the long run.”
