O’Dwyer: Kearns will find it hard to replace Comerford after ban

Tipperary footballers could be without goalkeeper Evan Comerford for their entire Championship campaign.

The C.C.C of the Premier county board has proposed a 12 week suspension for “physical interference ” with a referee during a club match between his side Kilsheelan Kilcash and JK Brackens.

Comerford has 3 days to appeal the proposed punishment.

Tipp are already without Philip Austin and Ciaran McDonald through injury for their Championship opener with Cork on Saturday week in Pairc Ui Rinn.

Former Tipp player and Tipp FM analyst Conor O’Dwyer says losing Evan Comerford would be a huge blow for Liam Kearns side.
