Victory for Tipp in their Munster U20 Football round robin game against Cork this evening would see them through to the provincial final.

The Premier impressed against Clare last time out and will look to repeat that performance against the Rebels.

On last night’s Extra Time here on Tipp FM former Tipp senior selector Charlie McGeever said the U20s have impressed so far.

“They’ve been very impressive. I think what Niall Fitzgerald, Kevin Mulryan, Paddy O’Gorman and the rest of them are doing is a great job this year. They’ve created a team that’s quite attack minded to be quite honest. To put up 2-16 against a decent Clare team in New Inn last week was excellent scoring. And indeed even though they only got 1-9 against Kerry the week before they carved Kerry open on numerous occasions and really could have scored 4 or 5 goals on the night.

“It was interesting to see that Tomás Ó’Sé was present in New Inn to watch the match the last night because I think he might have an eye on Tipp maybe making a Munster final.”

Throw-in is at 7 o’clock and we’ll have live commentary here on Tipp FM with John Kennedy Motors, Main Toyota Dealers Clonmel

At the same time Kerry take on Clare in Tralee.
