Philly Ryan is hopeful he will have some of his key players back for the first round of the Munster senior football championship.

The Tipperary senior football manager was without the services of captain Steven O’Brien, Sean O’Connor, Luke Boland, Cathal Deeley and others for Saturday’s league defeat to Wexford.

Philly Ryan is confident some of those players will be fit enough for that game.

“That will be the target for a few fellas.

“We’d hope to have some back out of the garage next week and maybe a few more the week after.

“We’d be confident that we’d have a few of them right and ready to go.”
