Tipp senior football champions Clonmel Commercials have fallen at the first hurdle in the Munster Club Championship.
They played host to reigning Kerry, Munster and All Ireland champions Dr Crokes at the Clonmel Sportsfield this afternoon in front of a crowd of just over 1,800.
Commercials led by 7 points to 5 at half-time but failed to capitalise in the second half.
It finished 14 points to 8 in favour of Dr Crokes who are through to the provincial semi-final.
Tipp senior football coach Shane Stapleton says Commercials failed to capitalise when Alan O’Sullivan was red-carded for Croke early in the second half.
