Ballina beat Upperchurch Drombane by 2-7 to 9 points in the County Senior Football Championship last night.
That result was enough to see them top Group 2 ahead of Cahir.
In the Premier Junior Football Championship JK Brackens edged out Clonmel Óg by a single point – 1-12 to 1-11 the final score in Bansha.
It finished all-square between Fr Sheehys and Loughmore Castleiney in New Inn – 1-14 to 2-11.
The action continues in round three of the County Football Championship later this afternoon.
In the Senior grade, it’s still all to play for in Group 1 with no final standings confirmed.
JK Brackens, who’ve won their opening two games, take on Kilsheelan-Kilcash in Cashel at 4pm whilst at the same time in Monroe, Grangemockler/Ballyneale meet Ardfinnan.
In the Intermediate Championship, there’s a high stakes clash in group 3 where Clonmel Commercials face Éire Óg Annacarty at 4pm in Golden.
The winner of that game heads to the knockouts whilst the loser will be summoned to the relegation playoffs.
Then at 6pm this evening, Group 1 of the Intermediate grade concludes with a winner goes through clash between Moyne/Templetuohy and Mullinahone in Fethard whilst at the same time in Cashel it’s Galtee Rovers versus Moycarkey-Borris.
