Tipperary schools are hoping for success in Munster competitions this afternoon.

Abbey CBS get their Corn Uí Mhuirí Munster U19A football campaign underway.

The Tipp Town school face Tralee’s Mercy Mounthawk in their group 3 opener at 1.30pm in Ballyagran.

Also at 1.30pm, Nenagh CBS are hoping to continue their defence of the Dean Ryan Cup.

They meet Ardscoil Rís in their Munster U17A hurling quarter-final, with throw-in set for 1.30pm in Newport.
