Dundalk draw Rosenburg in Champions League qualification

Dundalk must get past Rosenborg if they’re to reach the next stage of the Champions League.

Stephen Kenny’s side have been drawn against the Norweigan champions in the second qualifying round, with Dundalk playing the 1st leg at home.

Meanwhile, Celtic and Linfield have been paired together for what could be a feisty qualifying round.

The Northern Ireland champions will face Brendan Rodgers’ side if they can beat the champions of San Marino in the first round.

The Belfast side would be at home for the first leg, which is also scheduled for the same week as the 12th of July.

Elsewhere the three Irish clubs in the Europa League have learned their first qualifying round opponents.

League leaders Cork City have been handed a favourable tie against Estonian side Levadia Tallinn.

Derry City have a tougher assignment against Midtjylland of Denmark.

And Shamrock Rovers make the trip to Iceland to take on Stjarnan.

All the Irish sides will be at home for the second leg.
