Womens sixth seed Petra Kvitova is out, beaten in straights by Aussie Daria Gavrilova.

No such worries for Serena Williams, Maria Sharapova or Agnieszka Radwanska who are all through to the third round.

Meanwhile, Venus Williams has been fined just over 3-thousand euro for skipping her post-match press duties at the Australian Open tennis.

She avoided discussing her first round defeat to Britain's Johanna Konta.

It's Williams' second fine in a year, after getting a similar punishment at the 2015 French Open.
