Carrick on Suir’s Sam Bennett has stormed to yet another victory.
The Bora Hansgrohe sprinter took the first stage at the Tour of Turkey today to notch up his 7th win of the season.
Bennett avoided a crash in the final 200 metres to come home at the head of the bunch after the 170 kilometres stage.
The former An Post Sean Kelly rider – who turns 27 on October 16th – will wear the leader’s jersey heading into day two of the 6 stage race.
