Carrick Wheelers to the fore in Kerry

There was a strong showing from Panduit Carrick Wheelers C.C at the John Drumm Cup races in Kerry.

In the senior races former national champion Declan Hanrahan produced a spectacular performance to take the honours in a two-up sprint in the C3 race.

Teammate Martin O’Loughlin finished strongly from the next group on the road to claim an excellent sixth place.

The C1 over 93kms has Patrick O’Loughlin at the heart of the action. He made it into a decisive 10-man breakaway that shaped the outcome of the race taking 4th place.

Orla Mulhearne stormed to an impressive sprint finish victory in the Under 16 girls’ race.
