Tipperary’s Sam Bennett relinquished the lead on stage 4 of the Vuelta a San Juan in Argentina.
The Bora Hansgrohe rider was among a number of sprinters who were distanced on the stage which saw temperatures reach 40 degrees and included a Category 1 climb along the way.
The stage was won by Fernando Gaviria of the Movistar Team who takes over the leaders jersey.
