County Board coffers in the black

County Board chairman Michael Bourke of Upperchurch Drombane says a busy year on the inter-county scene has added to their costs.

Despite this, last nights convention in Thurles heard that the county finances are in the black to the tune of almost €130,000.

The total income for the year was slightly in excess of €4 million.

Last nights gathering saw Michael Power from the Newcastle club elected as Treasurer while acting PRO Joe Bracken has been appointed to the role on a full time basis.
