There are growing concerns that Lar Corbett might not be fit for the Allianz Hurling League semi final against Clare.

His knee injury means as yet there is no definite date for his return to action – the 33 year old has only lined out for Tipp once this year.

Meanwhile Tipp manager Eamon O'Shea has been speaking of our hurlers need for competitive fixtures ahead of the championship opener against Limerick on June 1st.

Tipperary have qualified to play Clare in the National Hurling league semi final in three weeks time with a three point win over Cork last weekend.

Eamon O'Shea is convinced that competitive games like that against Cork are what his team needs as preparation for June.
