Clonmel rower Daire Lynch is back in action today at the prestigious Henley Royal Regatta in England.
The Olympic bronze medalist is competing in the Queen Mother Challenge Cup, teaming up with Olympic gold medalists Fintan McCarthy and Paul O’Donovan, along with Konan Pozzaia. The quad, representing Skibbereen and UCD, are among the top contenders in this elite rowing event.
Following a first-round victory yesterday over Dutch club Hollandia, Lynch and his teammates now face a major test this evening as they take on European gold medalists from the Nottingham & Leander clubs in the semi-final.
The race is scheduled to get underway at 5.50pm.
