Clonmel boxer takes on 5-time World Champion

The 21 year old meets the Olympic champion for the Irish lightweight Elite title at the home of Irish boxing.

The Clonmel Boxing Club south-paw beat Clare's Kayleigh Murrihy-McCormack last Friday to set up the 60kg decider against five-time world champion Taylor, who received a bye into final.

No-one has ever contested the division against the Bray boxer before – but for the first time in over a decade, Taylor won't have her father Pete in her corner.

Pete says he's taking a break from his daughter's corner, as they try new things before her Olympic defence next year.
