Clonmel RFC have been roundly defeated in their Provincial League Championships Round Robin series clash this afternoon.
The South Tipp side which saw off Ballina last weekend travelled to Malahide for the League encounter and while their opened the scoring after 20 minutes to clock up 3 points on the board, the North Dublin outfit quickly equalised.

Malahide then converting a try bringing the score to 10-3 for the home side .
A second try in quick succession saw them extend their lead to 15-3- Clonmel responded and clocked up a further 3 points follwed by another 3 to bring it to 15-9 but Malahide then powered ahead converting a try followed by two more and in the end it finished 34-9
