Clare to review footage of Shane Stapleton incident

The Tipp – Clare game which took place in Cusack Park yesterday was marred by an incident which left Tipp selector Shane Stapleton hospitalised.

Stapelton hit his head off the ground after he fell following a collision with Clare’s Jamie Malone in the second half.

He is said to be recovering in hospital today after reportedly suffering a seizure.

Clare management say they will review footage of the incident to see if they will be appealing the red card issued to Malone as a result of the incident.

Speaking on Tipp Today this morning, Tipp FM Analyst Tom McGrath said that the lack of stewards at Cusack Park as well as the lack of an ambulance available at the grounds for Shane Stapleton, was a big concern:
