A full examination of how the proposal can best be implemented will now be brought to Central Council later this year, with any changes in the rule to operate from 2016.

It was also decided to re-launch the Inter-Provincial Football championship, however proposals to re-vamp the Provincial Football championships into groups of eight and to abolish the semi-finals in the Allianz Football league Division One were turned down.
