Not playing in this years All Ireland replay or the League Final was one of the major tipping points in Eoin Kelly's decision to retire from inter-county hurling.

The legendary forward recently called a halt after an illustrious Senior career which spanned a decade and a half.

During that time he won 2 All Ireland, 5 Munster titles, 2 National Leagues and 6 All Star awards.

However the Mullinahone native says not getting to line out against neighbours and old rivals Kilkenny twice this year had a big bearing on his decision.
