Axel is confirmed as Munster Supremo !

Munster has confirmed the appointment of Anthony Foley as their next head coach.

The province has announced that the Ballina/Killaloe man will be promoted from forwards coach to head coach this summer in place of the departing Rob Penney.

The 40-year-old has agreed a two-year contract with the option of a third year after Munster chief executive Garrett Fitzgerald described him as “the stand-out candidate” to succeed Penney, who has agreed a lucrative offer to move to Japan.
