There were three national titles for Tipperary athletes on the track at the National Indoor Championships in Abbotstown over the weekend.
On Sunday, Newport AC’s Sharlene Mawdsley successfully defended her Women’s 400m title, with the Olympian finishing first in a time of 51.91.

Also yesterday, Clonmel AC’s Seán Tobin won the men’s 3000m final, coming home in a time of 8:09:18.
Meanwhile, there was a first ever national senior indoor title for Moyne AC on Saturday.
Katie Bergin was victorious in the women’s 200m final, running a new personal best time of 24.03.
