Belfast's Peter Hawkins will wear the leaders Yellow Jersey when the An Post Rás leaves Nenagh this morning.

Stage 3 takes the riders from the North Tipp town to Listowel, a distance of 141 kilometres with the IG Sigma Sport rider just 2 seconds clear of 8 riders.

The race will depart from Pearce Street at 11am with a category 2 climb coming after just 13 kilometres at Bollingbrook.

Yesterday's stage ended in a high speed sprint involving a breakaway group of 11 riders with Shane Archibold of the An Post Chain Reaction team proving quickest.

His team mate Sam Bennett from Carrick on Suir is 10th overall just 6 seconds down while Conor Dunne of the Iver Produce Carrick Wheeler's team is 12th at 15 seconds.

Keep an eye out this morning as well for the Visit Nenagh.ie riders and in particular rider number 166 – that's Michael Butler, the only Nenagh rider in the race.
