It’a massive day for Aherlow GAA club today.
The West Tipp side contest their first ever Munster intermediate football final when they take on Kerry’s Austin Stacks at 1pm in Mallow.
The Tralee outfit contested the Munster senior final back in 2021 and bounced straight back up to the senior ranks in Kerry following last year’s surprise relegation.
Aherlow go into the game as underdogs but manager Aidan Kiely says they’re going into the gme with great anticipation:
“They are impressive, there’s no doubt about it, they are typical Kerry, teh’re footballers and they know how to play.
“We know we are up agianst it but at the end of the day hey are back intermediate and they’re back for a reason so it isn’t as if we have no hope.
“We are going in with great anticpation and we are confident enough we can overturn them.”
Tipp FM will have live commentary of the game with thanks to Blues Creamery, Aherlow.
