Peake Villa’s quest for a first ever Munster Junior Cup title continues today.
The Thurles side are in Munster Junior Cup semi-final action against Limerick’s Pike Rovers.
The sides meet in Cooke Park in Tipp Town, with the winners taking on (Villa FC of Waterford or Cork side Coachford) in the decider.
Soccer analyst Barry Ryan says today’s game presents a huge opportunity for the Thurles men:
“It’s an unbelievable opportunity for them, a home semi-final of a Munster junior cup albeit it’s in a Tipperary venue but it’s in Tipp Town so Pe Rovers are travelling.
“Peake Villa have never won the Munster junior cup in their history, they have played in a couple of finals.
“It’s a massive game for Peake Villa as a club.”
