Tipp Today – Thursday January 15th 2018

In the first hour of Tipp Today we spoke to one of our listeners Phillip who told us about a sad experience he had recently while attending hospital. We spoke to solicitor Cian O’Carroll about the tragic deaths of 2 members of a Tipp family, for which the HSE apologised last week. We spoke to Cllr Hughie McGrath about the problem of derelict buildings in Nenagh and we spoke to Emma Byrne from the Tipp for Choice group on the criticism directed at some sections of the campaign for using pictures of people with disability in the campaign material.

In the second hour of Tipp Today we spoke to professor Eamon O’Shea ahead of his talk this weekend at the Tipp FM Health and Wellbeing expo, we spoke to Liam Minihan from the Fight the Pipe campaign as the issue was discussed in the Dail last evening, we lamented the news that Elton is to retire from performing live and we spoke to Peter Boland from the Alliance for Insurance reform on the rising cost of insurance which is threatening businesses.

In the final hour of this mornings Tipp Today, we spoke to Liam O’Gogain from the Parental Equality Group on Sinn Fein’s proposals to punish parents for not paying maintenance, we spoke to one of our callers Eamon who is looking to build stronger relationships in the community and organise days outs, We also had our weekly vet and travel slots!
