We also spoke to Silvermines business owner Tommy Hickey about the news for Silvermines and the history of the area.
In the second hour of Tipp Today, we had our legal slot with John Lynch where we discussed some of the legal highlights of 2017, we also spoke to some callers about the Pope’s visit to Ireland next year and if it was a waste of money.
In the final hour of this mornings Tipp Today, Fran spoke to Richard Walsh from Caiseal Conservation committee about the winter solstice, we spoke to Adi Roche as the Chernobyl Childrens foundation welcome 30 children from Belarus who will spend christmas in Ireland.
We also spoke to Valerie Connolly from Tipperary Sports Partnership about funding they have received and we spoke to Cllr Catherine Carey who was accompanied by Sue and Anna from the Animal Aid Action group who went to inspect a field in Knocklofty which has been the scene of many horse deaths. What the women described seeing there was horrific.
