Tipp Today Highlights – SVP Call For Tobacco Like Vulture Fund Warnings

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is calling for tobacco style warnings on moneylender advertising.

It says its members regularly report inappropriate lending to very vulnerable households who do not have the capacity to repay the loan.

Caroline Fahey – who is the society’s Head of Social Justice – says moneylenders are not required to state on adverts that it’s a high cost loan – Caroline joined Fran on Tuesday.
