Tipp Today Highlights – Nenagh Community Food Bank

A new initiative to help ease the food bills for cash strapped families has opened in Nenagh.

The Nenagh Community Food Bank – which is backed by the Mid West Simon Community – offers food parcels to people in the community who need a extra hand to make ends meet.

It’s a confidential service run by local volunteer Sandra Farrell who is no stranger to wonderful initiatives like this.

Fr Des Hillery and the parish council provided the premises for the  foodbank at Loreto House on Kenyon Street in the town

Tipp FM’s Trudy Waters headed along to Loreto House this morning to chat with Sandra before the door opened to the public .. She started by asking her how it all came about
