HIQA does not recommend use of rapid antigen testing

HIQA came out yesterday to say they do not recommend that antigen testing should be used on a more widespread basis as a replacement for current Covid-19 mitigation measures.

But is antigen testing the way forward and what is the reason behind the Government’s reluctance to embrace it?
