Callers on Clamping and Fines

Today we heard from three callers who told us about the problems they have encountered in relation to parking.

Our first caller, Richie, got a ticket for parking near the college in Thurles during match day at the beginning of February but he only received the ticket a few days ago. He had no idea he had been fined until it arrived through the door.

Our second caller, Seamus, was clamped at the Tipp v Kilkenny game yesterday for parking in a private estate. His car as well as four others were clamped. Seamus explained that he has parked there for years and that there were no signs to say clamping was in operation.

Our final caller, Pat, was at the Tipp vs Waterford game at the beginning of February. Three days later Pat received a fine for parking on a footpath which he explains was not the case. Again there was no signs to say parking was prohibited.
