Most Rev. William Walsh, Bishop Emeritus of Killaloe

Bishop Emeritus of Killaloe and a native of Roscrea.

Peacefully at home on the 19th February 2025.

Predeceased by his parents Ellen and William, brothers Joe, Eddie and John and his sisters Maura and Catherine.

Dearly loved and sadly missed by his nieces and nephews; Karina, Michael, Emma, Willie, Miriam, Jim, Mark, Liz and Con and their families, sister-in-law Christine, his cousin Fr. Laurence OCSO, Bishop Fintan Monahan and the clergy, religious and laity of the diocese of Killaloe and his wide circle of friends.

Bishop Willie will lie in repose in SS Peter and Paul Cathedral, Ennis, Co. Clare, on Sunday (23rd February) from 3pm with evening prayer at 7pm.

Requiem Mass will take place on Monday (24th February) at 1pm. Burial afterwards in the church grounds.
