Nenagh and formerly Castlecranna, Carrigatoher.

Died peacefully 17th April 2025.

She was born in Castlecranna, Carrigatoher and began her married life on Sarsfield Street, Nenagh.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Seán and daughter Máire. Sadly missed by her son John and his wife Dolores, son-in-law Stephen, brother Tom and Vera, her family, old and new neighbours and very good friends in Nenagh, Dublin and Canada.

She was variously called Molly, Mam, Mary Jane in Nenagh and Mary in Dublin. She was known as a woman of fierce opinions, sharp humour and stylish flair. She along with Seán, won awards for their volunteering work. With her active social life, she also made sure the lightbulbs in her house were always dusted.

Reposing on Sunday at Ryan’s Funeral Home Nenagh (E45 KN930) from 6.30pm until 8pm.

Funeral arriving on Monday to St. Mary of the Rosary Church Nenagh for Funeral Mass at 12 noon, followed by burial in Burgess Cemetery.

Mary Jane’s son John and the family are deeply grateful for the excellent care that she received in St. Conlon’s Nursing Unit and for the support and friendship from the staff and residents in Sue Ryder House.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to either Cancer or Stroke Foundations.
