Two neighboring counties are under a yellow weather warning tonight with some heavy rainfall also expected in Tipperary.
Heavy and persistent flooding is expected in Cork and Waterford this evening, as a Status Yellow weather warning takes effect.
The warning is valid from 5pm this evening in Cork until 11pm.
Waterford’s weather alert starts at 6pm this evening until 2am on Monday morning.
The outlook for the rest of the week shows milder weather on the way.
But Ireland’s Weather Chanel’s Cathal Nolan says while it will be mild, it’ll be wet too:
“Into next week we retain the unsettled conditions, that is after a drive-in one day for the majority of next week we see our wind switching around to a southerly direction feeding in quite warm air.
But also quite moist there as well there will be quite a lot of heavy rain about especially
through the midweek period and then towards the end of the week we see our wind switch back to westerly direction for more near-normal temperatures.”
