Workers and Unemployed Action Group Councillor Billy Shoer has been elected Mayor of Clonmel.
He was elected at last nights annual meeting of Clonmel Borough Council.

The 5 WUAG councillors on Clonmel Borough Council were backed by Independents Richie Molloy, Niall Dennehy and Gabrielle Egan giving Councillor Shoer an 8 – 4 majority over Fine Gael's Dinny Dunne.
Councillor Theresa Ryan, again of the WUAG was elected Deputy Mayor.
