Woman dies in Limerick crash

The woman – who was in her 30s – died following the single vehicle incident at the Applegreen service station at Coolanoran between Newcastle West and Rathkeale at about 11.30 last night. 

A male passenger and two children – who were in the back seat of the car – were all taken to University Hospital Limerick with non life threatening injuries.

Her body has been removed to University Hospital Limerick where a post mortem examination will take place. 

A Garda forensic examination of the scene is underway and anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact Newcastle West Gardaí.
