Witnesses sought to Waterford fire.

Gardaí in Waterford are appealing for witnesses to a fire at a house in Ballybeg last night that is believed to have been caused by a petrol bomb.

The incident took place at Ardmore Park shortly after nine o'clock.

A number of people were in the house at the time – including three children – who were treated at Waterford University Hospital for non life threatening injuries.

Gardai arrested a 23-year-old man in connection with the incident.

He is being questioned at Waterford Garda Station.
