Well known Clonmel supermarket closes

Having opened 22 years ago as a Superquinn store new owners Musgrave’s made the decision to cease trading there due to a drop in trade.

The closure has been put down in part to the high level of commercial rates in Market Place which has seen a large number of stores cease trading in recent years.

44 full and part time workers have lost their job as a result with customers and staff alike saying it was an emotional time for all.

Clonmel Chamber say the closure will not just impact on staff but also on suppliers to the store.
