There's relief for Vita Cortex workers in Cork this morning – after a redundancy settlement was reached yesterday with the company's owner, Tipperary businessman Jack Ronan.
Staff have been involved in a sit in at the plant for the past 139 days – they say they'll keep going with that until they receive the agreed redundancy payments.

The Taoiseach Enda Kenny has paid tribute to the workers – saying they displayed enormous dignity and fortitude.
