Water restored to nearly all homes and businesses in Tipp

Some people in the county are still without water but power has been restored to all 30 Tipperary water supply schemes affected by Storm Éowyn.

The vast majority of the 7,000 of the local homes, farms and businesses left without water over the weekend have been reconnected.

7,000 local homes, farms and businesses had no water over the weekend and a further 11,000 are now under Boil Water Notices on the Lingaun and Fethard supplies.

Operations Lead for Tipperary Colin Cunningham is appealing for people not to waste water while the systems are recovering.
