Tipperary remains under a yellow warning until this afternoon

15 counties including Tipperary are under weather warnings this morning

Met Éireann has issued a status yellow wind and rain warning for most coastal counties, along with Carlow, Kilkenny and Tipperary until 3 o’clock this afternoon.

A second status yellow wind warning will come into effect for Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim, Mayo and Galway from 3pm until midnight.

Alan O’Reilly from Carlow Weather says very strong winds can be expected:

“The rain will be very heavy in the morning before clearing in the afternoon, strongest winds all around in the morning.”

“Overall a very wet and windy sunday.”
