Tipperary had the lowest temperature in the country overnight with the weather station in Gurteen recording minus 5.7 degrees.
Hazardous conditions are being reported across the county this morning with Gardaí advising extreme on the roads
Road temperatures are currently down around minus 4 on some routes in Tipperary according to Transport Infrastructure Ireland.
County Council crews have been salting main routes across the county and will continue to do so a number of times each day.
A status orange low temperature and ice warning remains in place for the Premier county until 10am while another orange alert will kick in at 6 o’clock this evening.
A yellow warning for ice and low temperatures has been extended until midday on Friday
