Fallen trees and wind blown debris are a hazard across the Premier County.

Senior Engineer with the local authority James Murray outlines how the council is dealing with the situation.

“We’ve had our initial morning meeting with the five Districts across the county and the impact of the storm has certainly been felt. We have a lot of trees down particularly in the north (of the county).

“But we still have information coming in – at this stage people seem to have heeded the warnings and stayed at home. Obviously when people start moving around further information will come into us and we’ll start to clear then on a priority basis.”
