Electricity restored to thousands in Tipperary

Emergency crews from the Netherlands, France, Austria and Finland are due to arrive in country today to help the ESB restore supply to homes and businesses across the country.

As of last night there were still 180,000 premises without power since storm Éowyn last Friday.

The ESB have made huge inroads into restoring power in the Premier County.

Yesterday morning there were 5,500 customers without electricity in Tipp – this morning there are 150.

It’s hoped the vast majority will have their supply returned before the weekend.
