A Status Yellow rain warning has been issued for Tipperary and 9 other counties.
Heavy rain and thundery downpours are on the way for Munster, Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, and Galway.
It will take effect at 2pm this afternoon and is set to continue until 2pm tomorrow.
Alan O’Reilly from Carlow Weather says the south of the country will likely be worst impacted.
“After a fairly good spell of weather it is going to come to an end and it could come to an end with a bang because there’s very heavy rain going to move up from the south through this afternoon and this evening. A risk of some thunderstorms and some local downpours which could lead to spot flooding.”
