Waterford City Council has announced a 20 per cent reduction in commercial rates for 2014.
The City and County Councils were given a 4.3 million euro increase in their local government fund to offset the costs of their amalgamation which takes place in May.

Following the revaluation process – this money has been used to lower commercial rates in Waterford city to meet the Dungarvan level.
