Waterford Airport host run in memory of Dara Fitzpatrick

Around one thousand people are taking part in a charity run along the runway at Waterford airport this morning – in memory of Captain Dara Fitzpatrick.

The Coastguard helicopter pilot was based at the airport when she and her crew went on their tragic mission off the Mayo coast last March.

The Dara Fitzpatrick Memorial Run is in aid of the ‘Touching Hearts’ children’s charity and South Eastern Mountain Rescue Association.
